BES mainly focuses on public health problems induced by biological factors, nutritional factors, environmental/ecological factors and physical/chemical factors. Recently published papers have covered the areas of epidemiology, nutrition and food hygiene, environmental sanitation and environmental medicine, child and adolescent health, occupational health, radiological health, maternal and child health, and health management. BES also publishes papers about the research progresses in medical molecular biology, medical microbiology, medical parasitology, medical immunology, toxicology, and mental health.
